1831. Original document. Fine. Printed form, accomplished by hand in sepia ink. The Grand Inquest of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania charges that Rebecca Brack, a "Coloured woman," on 24 July 1831, stole ten (10) yards of Calico valued at four dollars from one Jacob Shroeder, "...then and there did feloniously did steal, take and carry away; contrary to the form of the Act of General Assembly...against the Peace and Dignity of the Commonwealth...." Signed by Andrew G. Miller, Deputy Attorney General, for Samuel Douglas, Attorney General. Three witnesses listed. Docketed on the verso. 6.75" x 8.25"
