London: Seyfang & Co. (Printed by), 1854. 1st Edition. Red Cloth. Very Good. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall. pp. (viii), 80, (4) list of subscribers. Original red coloured publisher's decorated cloth. All edges gilt. Only edition. This little book contains early translations of Ukrainian, Serbian, Bulgarian, Slovene, Slovak verse into English. The author describes himself as "a Native of Volhynia, Southern Russia" . Some rubbing to tail of spine with the very slightest loss of cloth. Slight soil marks to cloth boards. Nevertheless, a very well preserved copy of a very scarce book.
