About This Item

London: John Murray, 1897. Hardcover. 24 (ads), xiv, 205p., 25-44 (ads), a very good copy in publisher's original format, 7x5 inch semi-flexible red leather binding gilt, all edges speckled as issued with rounded corner-tips. Head and tail rims are slightly frayed with an eighth-inch loss atop the front joint; that, a neat ownership stamp to ffep, and a sepia signature to first page of Introduction, are the only flaws we see. All folded plates in fine shape as are all vignette illustrations.
