About This Item

Minneapolis: The Northwestern Consolidated Milling Co, 1930. Pamphlet. 42p., illustrated with six pages in color and several dainty b&w line drawings, softbound, a 7.5x5 inch stapled booklet. Cover is slightly damaged, with two tiny nicks to back panel (one nick is tacked on verso with removable tape) and some abrasion and splitting to spinefold. Back panel also bears a distributor's rubberstamp. The front cover looks good, pace a little age and handling. Clean within, color plates remain bright. A presentable, but fair-to-good only, copy. Laid in is a promotional leaf explaining that "Ceresota flour absorbs More WATER than ordinary flour, Hence it makes more bread and holds moisture longer than" &c. Dated from the desserts; the cake chapter promotes "inexpensive fruit cake," "poverty cake" and "economical sponge cake" (p.27).
