Royal octavo (9 1/4" x 6 1/2") bound in original publisher's aqua cloth with gilt lettering in black spine label and gilt pictorial ceramic on cover in original jacket. (Instituto de Historia, Primera Serie, 86) First edition limited to 2000 copies.
This is a wonderful overview of the ceramics of the cultures of Mesoamerica. They include all aspects of pottery from utilitarian uses to ceremonial. Most of the cultural groups are represented as well as time lines for development. A very useful tool for those interested in perusing an in depth study of this area.
Condition:
Corners gently bumped else a near fine copy in a fine jacket.
