Victoria BC, The Sisters of Saint Ann, 1966, hardcover, first edition, first printing, Very Good in Good dustjacket. Straight, tight and clean, name and date on ffep, corners and spine ends bumped, colour offsetting to endpapers from laid-in newspaper clippings. Dustjacket unclipped, rubs, edge chips, in new Brodart sleeve. The story of the order's early days through the first century of service in Western Canada. Illustrated with 10 pages of black-&-white plates. Laid in are several items including; a literary review of the book's original publication in 1966, a newspaper biography of the author as she began her teaching appointment at the University of Alberta, Faculty of Education 1966, a column written by the author under the heading "Home and Family" for the Edmonton Journal dated 1968, two folding, pictorial prayer cards for the Beatification of Mother Marie Anne, Foundress of the Institute of the Sisters of Saint Ann, 1809-1890, dated 1955 and 1956. A unique copy including these historically significant materials.
