Centuries by Traherne, Thomas - 1960

Clarendon Press, 1960 228 pages. A reissue of Dobell's text of Traherne's 'Centuries of Meditations'. Dustcover is very worn - chipped and bumped and very creased. Dustcover is faded and stained, and is ragged and torn at edges - and very yellow and stained inside. Book cover is scuffed and faded at edges. Rather unusually, the title and author design from the dustcover has somehow imprinted itself in negative onto the book cover! (possibly due to book being left in direct sunlight). Spine is bumped and worn and a little marked. Previous owner's name written in ink on first page. Pages are yellowed - particualrly at edges - but clean, neat and tightly bound. Condition consistent with age of book. A series of short passages on Christian life and philosophy.. Hard Cover. Good/Poor.
