London: B.T. Batsford, 1937. Cecil Beaton (1904-1980) one of the most celebrated British portrait photographers of the twentieth century, is renowned for his images of elegance, glamour and style. This work features studies on Katherine Hepburn, Marlene Dietrich and Greta Garbo among others. From the collection of prominent Australian photographer, Laurence Le Guay. With his signature. Bound in coloured pictorial boards with cloth spine, 235mm x 290mm, 144 pages, photographic illustrations and drawings throughout, decorative endpapers; a little wear to spine and a few scattered fox marks otherwise a near fine copy.
