With 20 illustrations including early rare photos. When this book was published, it was the only complete history of Amarillo and Potter County in existence. Potter County was one of the nation's last frontiers. It was the historic crossroads for Indians, and became the world's largest shipping point for cattle. Author's research included newspaper files, county records, libraries, and personal interviews. No previous owner marks. Spine is slanted and tilted. Top page edges soiled. Dust jacket is unclipped. Jacket spine is faded. Moderate shelfwear to jacket edges, most noticeable along top edge and head of spine panel where there are several small tears and wrinkles. Dust jacket now protected in Mylar.
