T. Werner Laurie, 1904. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1904. No Edition Remarks. 400 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth with decorations. Black and white illustrated plates throughout. Severe cracking to hinges causing boards to be loose. Pages and plates have light tanning and foxing throughout. Sticker to front pastedown. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Light tanning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Staining to rear board.

L.C. Page and Company, 1904. Cloth. Good. Brief ink note in bold hand on first front end paper signed by Isabel Gordon Curtis, author of several books and wife of Congressman Lemuel Curtis. She was an anti-suffragist, writing a book entitled The Congresswoman, about an elected woman in the all-male Congress, who finds the job too demanding and mentally taxing for a woman! Heavy book, red cloth spine, front beautifully decorated with raised images of cathedrals at Paris, Reims, Amiens and Chartres, with gilt skies--bright, front has red border and title, title rubbed away at spine top, bluish back boards are browned deep to all edges, tiny surface tear at tips, light wear to front edges, very slight surface wear to spine corners, very tiny surface tear near spine bottom right, 400 pages, inside covers and adjacent end papers decorated with color maps and charts of city churches, small address label taped inside front cover at top. Fold-out map also. Good, with interesting association.
