Description:
New York; (1989): Simon and Schuster. Limited Edition. Octavo. ). Limited to 750 copies. The present copy is number 395. A very nice edition with a new preface by Heller on pages 11-15 that provides a wonderful background of the novel when it first appeared. What will interest those who love the novel is how difficult it was for him to get anything other than articles published and how he finally received a $1500 advance which kept him going. A handsome copy bound in blue cloth, spine lettering gilt, housed in publisher's red paper covered slipcase lettered in gilt.
