The influence of Michael Crichton's time in medical school appears throughout his works, but it is particularly strong in A CASE OF NEED. This socially conscious thriller demonstrates Crichton's familiarity with the various places and personalities that make up a hospital, while using its narrative to make a case for providing safe abortion access. Original unclipped ($5.95) color pictorial dust jacket designed by Ken Braken. Black endpapers. 310 pages. Jacket with mild edgewear and tiny bit of chipping.
