The author's mother, on a whim went to Orlando FL to escape the WV coalfields and a boy who asked for her hand, met and fell in love with her dance instructor, Buddy Ebsen, who departed for his career in NY but did give her an alligator as a wedding present. She did marry the boy, Homer, and kept the alligator as a remembrance of her FL days. Pretty soon it was either Homer or the alligator and it was time to take "Albert " home. The rest of the story is how this couple took an alligator on a 1000 mile trip back to Orlando and found love along the way. A clean very presentable copy.
