New York: Charles Scribner's Sons [1967], 1st edition. (Hardcover) 307pp. Very good in good to very good dust jacket. Map endpapers, frontispiece, illustrations, diagrams, maps, appendices, bibliography, index. There are minor pancil margin notations and underlining, there is a previous owner's name and booklplate, the dust jacket has closed tears and chipping along the edges, a closed tear and a damp stain on the spine, and there is tape in two places on the front panel. Biography of James Cook. (History--Pacific Area, Description and Travel, Exploration).
