Boston and New York: Houghton Mifflin and Co., 1896. Two volumes in publisher's original green cloth with Art Deco gilt decorations and lettering, top edge gilt, Near Fine, the spines a shade toned, rear end papers in both volumes with some browning, the Arts and Crafts bookplates of Clinton Larue Hare and Marea Fletcher Ritzinger Hare front paste downs. Clinton L. Hare was an early football coach at Butler University (1887-1889), Purdue (1890) and DePauw University (1891). A quite lovely set of this charmingly illustrated edition. . First Illustrated Edition. Decorative Cloth. Near Fine/No Jacket, As Issued. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
