The Capablanca Memorial is a chess tournament that has been held annually in Cuba since 1962. The sixth edition drew 15 contenders which Ratmir Kholmov captured first with 12 of 14 points followed closely by Leonid Stein and Alexey Suetin half point behind for second and third. A distant fourth through sixth were Vladimir Antoshin, Mato Damjanovic and Dolfi Drimer each with eight. The tournament was held August 30th-September 20th. In the other contest Oscar Panno won clear first with a score of 9 of 11 points followed by Miguel Najdorf a half point behind.
Condition: Corners bumped, light edge wear else very good.
