Contains 75 pen and ink drawings by the well known artist ornithologist, Terry Shortt, who was serving in the bird division of the Royal Ontario Museum of Zoology. Snyder was the Assistant Director there. Former owner's name stamp on front cover, minor bit of soiling on cover with light edgewear; binding sturdy, text pages clean. Seventy-five typical birds in 15 habitat groupings, with seventy-five pen and ink drawings by Shorrt; four pages of bird studies by Arthur Nelles; eighty-five black-and-white photographs by Eric Hosking, Hugh Halliday, W. Bryant Tyrrell and others. With one-page article entitled "The Double Conservation of Bird and Plant Life," New England Wild Flower Preservation Society, Inc., 1932, laid-in. Light browning to spine and front cover margins. Prior owner inscription inside front cover. Otherwise clean and intact.
