Indianapolis. Indianapolis: Indiana Historical Society. Fair with no dust jacket. 1905. 1st Edition. Softcover. Thin gray covers are heavily chipped, torn and creased, barely hanging on to the text block even with pieces of clear tape. Fore-edge and bottom edge of pages were unevenly trimmed, and the result is many instances of edge-creasing, tearing and soiling. Pages are unopened; book is unread. Fragile and scarce. . Frontispiece is an excellent portrait of Caleb Mills. Mills was an American educator. He came to Wabash College, in Crawfordsville, Indiana, in 1833, to become the first professor and the principal of the school. He was elected to the Indiana Superintendent of Public Instruction in 1854. This is the first edition. It is NOT a modern reprint. . Publications, Vol. III No. VI Series. 8vo - 8" to 9" tall. 277 pages. K6 .
