About This Item
South Carolina: The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina. Very Good. N.D.. Reprint. Hardcover. Concerns the Italian Campaign to capture Anzio and discusses the Darby Ranger units which were ambushed by the Germans who captured or killed almost all of one unit which included my father, who was captured and spent the rest of the war in a POW camp. This book was originally a softcover disbound and rebound in green cloth hardcover format. No writing on boards or spine. Wagner who served in the 36th Army which began as the Texas National Guard, resulting in the book "Texas Army" by Mr. Wagner, also available. This book was from Mr. Wagner's estate. This special edition was reprinted by The Citadel several years after the original had gone out of print and was available only through The Citadel Canteen. The Citadel Canteen stamp on endpapers. ; B&W Photographs; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 500 pages; 25860 .
