About This Item

New York: Lorenz Gude and Ted Berrigan,, 1963. Quarto. Mimeographed magazine wire-stitched in silk-screened wrappers designed by Andy Warhol. Housed in a red cloth flat-back box by the Chelsea Bindery. Spine with some splitting and rubbing, edges of wrappers also chipped, but remains very good. The quality of the printing of the front and back covers varies considerably from copy to copy. This copy clearly defines the images. First and only edition. The front cover image shows Edwin Denby seated, with Gerard Malanga standing behind him; on the back cover Malanga and Denby are kissing. Warhol took the photographs with a Polaroid camera and this is the first known Warhol silkscreen from a Polaroid. Maréchal No.334
