(oblong).; 40 pp. Gray paper over boards with black lettering on the front and back boards and with a black cloth strip re-enforcing the spine as issued. Publisher's advert pages pasted onto the insides of both front and back boards. Page 2 is a synopsis of "The Burning Ship" with copyright information below. Smudging on the title page and the last three leaves (35/36 and 37/38 and 39/40) of the score have dog-eared creases on the top fore corner. The second leaf (pages 3/4) has a chip and closed tear in the tail edge that does not affect any printed material. There is light smudging on the bottom fore corners of most pages probably due from the turning of them when playing (a partially educated guess), otherwise the pages are clean. The front and back hinges are a bit 'ragged' from the attached publisher's advert sheets though the binding is sound. The externals show mild and general soiling and wear with rubbed and bumped corners and rubbed board edges. .
