Black-and-white photographic paperback binding with black and blue coloured titles to the front panel and black coloured titles to the back strip. Black-and-white photograph of author to the verso of the front panel. "This is a revised edition of what has become the standard work on Britain's two main political parties. A long new chapter discusses developments since the book was first published in 1955." -- from the rear panel blurb. Creasing to the book corners and to the lower right hand corner of the pages to page 17. Rubbing and some chipping to the book edges with very noticeable browning and foxing of the book panels and back strip. Browning and foxing of the text block edges, with, surprisingly clean pages. The first few and last few pages of the book show and foxing spots and previous owner's name to the top right hand corner of the half title page. Revised Edition.
