Previous owner's inscription to front free endpaper. Binding is slightly shaky. Boards have moderate edge wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Crushing to spine ends with small splits. Notable tanning to spine and edges. Scuffing and light marking overall. Book is slightly forward leaning. Unclipped jacket has heavy edge wear with some areas of loss, heavy tears, chips and creasing. Heavy tanning to spine and edges. Scuffing to edges and heavy splits to joints.

Foxing more noticeable towards the start and end of the book and on text block edges. Pencil inscriptions to front endpaper. Boards have some edge wear, with slight bumping and fraying to corners, while spine ends are moderately crushed and rubbed. Slightly scratched, rubbed and marked overall. Boards very foxed overall.

No DJ, boards faded. . Internally very clean with tight binding and no inscriptions or other markings,48 pages with eight colour plates by various artists and black and white illustrations by various artists.

The boards are tight and straight and unmarked; spine ends and corners worn. Unmarked end papers; name of previous owner on front free end paper. Slightly tanned cut edges. The text block is in very good condition with 8 colour plates and 22 b/w illustrations. The pages are firm, flat and unblemished. No dedications etc. In turquoise and white dust jacket that replicates the boards. The jacket is in fair condition, spine and edges tanned, spine very worn, with open and closed tears. Not price clipped.
