London: William Smith, 1843. Bookplate of Ganci on front pastedowns. Vol. 1 has upper hinge starting; all other hinges solid. Green morocco spines and tips rubbed and bumped with some material loss. All boards rubbed; marbled boards and matching endpapers. TEG. Spines with 5 raised bands rubbed and gilt titling and volume lettering directly on morocco in panels 2 and 4. 124 plates depicting the moths all present. Small top marginal stain on pgs. 21-69 in Vol. 1 not affecting text. Some irregular minor staining in Vol. 2 on top edge not affecting text. Some faint foxing throughout.. First Edition. Half-Leather. Fair/No Jacket. Illus. by Humpreys, H.N.. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Trade.
