London: John Murray, 1813. Second edition. Hardcover. Good. Much wear to tips, corners and edges of book, binding is three quarter leather with marbled boards worn but still sound staining to front endpapers from glue on leather corner pieces, lacks rear free endpaper, scattered foxing / staining. first published on 2nd of December, 1813 it went quickly into a second edition and would be often revised by Byron. Ownership inscription of "Mrs. Oswald, Shield Hall" presumably , Mrs. Alexander Oswald,(Margaret Dundas) of Shield Hall, Glasgow,a member of the notable Scottish families of Dundas and Haldane.
