Suggested menus and foods for different seasons of the year, with guidance on selecting a cook, utensils, preparation, etc., preceded by a history of ancient and modern French cuisine. Folding frontis color lithograph by Henry Monnier depicting a kitchen scene, mounted on a paper stem. Marbled boards with brown cloth spine, gilt lettered black spine label, 5.75" tall, [4], plate, 110, [2], 12 pages of publisher's ads. Covers lightly rubbed, spine ends lightly frayed, sound binding, very clean pages with a very faded signature (last name Martin) on the title page, no other markings.. Hard Cover. Very Good. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.
