The Brand New Monty Python Papperbok by Python, Monty - 1976

Oversized hardcover, unpaginated, w/ dust jacket: tight copy, crisp text, so boards in very good condition; R-rated boards and some in text. NOTE jacket in poor condition (now in mylar) has several tears, a few chinks out/some creasing, some prints and smudges.

Quarto, 11 1/4" tall, unpaginated (approx 96 pages with color and black and white illustration throughout, illustrated boards. A very good minus, generally clean, sturdy hard cover over all with moderate shelf wear, binding tight, paper bright, but the spine ends and fore-corner tips rubbed through. In a good edge worn dust jacket with chipping at the folds as well as the printed finger prints which are part of the parody. The parody aspect of this volume carries through the finger soiling and wear perfectly.

Wear to jacket with rubbing, foxing, and creasing to covers, corners, and edges. 2 1/2" closed tear to top edge of rear cover of jacket. Smudged fingerprints were put the by design by publisher. Rubbing and toning to covers and edges of paper over boards. Dust-spotting to edges of text block. Foxing to endpapers with lighter foxing to pages throughout. Pages are free of marks and notation. Binding is sound. An admittedly worn, but overall solid copy of this book of humour by the creators of Monty Python.
