Pictorial dustjacket is complete and plastic protected with a little creasing and a touch of wear to one edge. Portrait of Louis XVI by Ducreux to frontispiece and 10 other illustrations. An excellent account of the tragic story and fate of the Bourbon family and of the mystery surrounding the fate of Louis Charles, who officially died on June 8,1795, but it was later claimed that the boy who actually died was a dying dumb boy who had been substituted. A1E. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
