Light wear to edges of boards with bumping to heel and, less so, on head of spine with minor scuffing to covers including light red mark on front covers lower edge. Bumping and mark on upper corners of boards. Pencil notes, underlining, and marks in margins of front free endpaper and text from former owner, a professor. 324 pages with illustrations, index of plays studied, tables, figures, endnotes, bibliography, and index. A look at pre-Revolutionary theater in France and the impact of the French Revolution on it. Letter from editor asking the professor to review he book laid in.
