Leather spine and corners trimmed in gilt over maroon patterned cloth. Gilt borders all around. Leather spine has gilt titles and decorations. Bookplate of Everett Paine, a founding member of the Corinthian Yacht Club in Marblehead, Massachusetts which was founded in 1888. Mr. Paine was the secretary there until 1906. John Clarke (1755–1798) was a minister of the First Church in Boston, Massachusetts.
