Top edge gilt. Gilt-tooled edges and marbled endpapers. Title page printed in red and black. There is a previous owner's simple bookplate on the front pastedown. In a marbled paper covered slipcase, with the boards subtly worn at the edges. A classic volume in the Royal Library Historical Series bound by the luxury binders Sangorski & Sutcliffe.
