This is an early facsimile edition produced by Frederick Hollyer, the photographer and art publisher, who published several of Blake's works. The Book of Thel, originally published in 1789, was the first of Blake's works to feature his new method of illuminated printing alongside prophetic verse. Quarto. Original blue paper boards, paper label to spine lettered in black. Colour illustrations throughout by Blake, mounted on stiff card bound onto stubs, as issued. Foyles's ticket to front pastedown.
