The Roycrofters, 1904. First Edition. Unknown. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" (oblong). Laid in loose is an Autograph Note Signed (ANS) by Elbert Hubbard, four lines plus on postcard-sized yellow letterhead ('The Roycroft Shop') printed in red. It is addressed to a client ('Mr. Gray') who seems to have been a subscriber for the deluxe editions of the press. Attractively bound Roycroft 'Rubaiyat' in full green suede stamped in gilt and black, top edge gilt (two leaves have offset from clippings; some wear to silk endpapers (rear being loose; stain to front silk); minor wear to suede).
