The Book of Maryland has been prepared with a view to meet the demand of newspaper offices for a standard book of reference on representative men and institutions of Maryland" (foreword). Includes a portrait and brief biography of important men in Maryland. Very Good in pictorial green leatherette boards with gilt title to spine and with color and gilt accents to front cover. Bound scrapbook style with three holes punched through all pages and string interlaced. Wear to edges of boards, corners, and spine ends. Previous owner stamp to endpapers. Clean interior overall with a few minor smudge marks, a few small spots of foxing, and several short closed tears / chips to margins. Some pages are loose but present. One page has a tape repair to bottom margin. Size: quarto. 350 pages. Maryland. MD/010616.
