Beige paper-covered boards with illustrated cover, dark green cloth spine, paper label on spine. Spots of wear-through to corner tips, top spine edge. Cover is clean, with some age-toning; spine label has tiny bit of edge chipping. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound. Clean color-decorated endpapers. Previous owner custom bookplate on back side of front free endpaper, along with neatly penned name and date (1924). Pages are clean with black top-stained upper page edges. Wonderful illustrations throughout in both full color and black and white. Printed in Great Britain at the Morland Press. 183 pages. .

Collated, complete. Pages 163-166 not issued as with all copies. In the original publisher's quarter cloth binding with paper backed boards. Externally, very smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities, resulting in some wear in these areas. The label to the spine is slightly worn. Internally, firmly bound.
