This original hardcover "Book of Common Prayer" was published in Carlisle, Scotland, and printed by J. Harrison, making it exceedingly rare. We found only two print originals in libraries worldwide! Carlisle: Printed by J. Harrison; of whom may be had the Bible with Annotations and Observations. MDCCLXXIX (1779). **Rare Edition**
Condition: Rebound with appropriate modern calf as shown. Raised bands and gilt on the spine as pictured. New wine satin ribbon was added. Appropriate embellishment on the cover. Photos reveal the name of the owner in beautiful script on a fly page, and her hand written designations on the top of each page. We found no errant markings within the text.
