Cloth spine, pictorial front cover shows two girls, one with a fan. 6 beautiful colour illustrations plus brown and white illustrations in outline. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Covers slightly grubby. Joints cracked. Endpapers lightly foxed and pastedowns lightly browned. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Light grubby fingermarks to page margins but generally contents clean.

Illustrated with six exquisite full page chromolithograph and further page decorations by Maud Humphrey. Covers rubbed and darkened. Corners bumped. Some marginal foxing and or soiling. One half inch marginal tear to bottom of one plate not affecting image, small stain to bottom edge of frontis not affecting image. Several pages soiled or stained not affecting text. A nice, crisp copy with brilliant bright chromolithographs.
