Text is illustrated with black and white photographs and one sketch map. Blue-colour board with gilt writing on the spine. Illustrated dust wrapper, showing a panic for a P.O.W. with black and red background with white and the writing on the front panel white on the spine. The author was shot down after a mission that destroyed Goering's operational headquarters. He then recounts his joining the Dutch underground, his capture, escape, intrigues and violence, recapture, exploits that last for three years before he is again in Britain. Age darkening and foxing of the page edges, darkening of the internal margins of the pages, pages 105-108 failed to be sewn in at the time of manufacture. The dust jacket is foxed especially on the verso, chipped at each other corners, and has a small tear midway along bottom edge of the back panel. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
