M. Spackman ("An Armful of Warm Girl" et al), "5-7-79 / Dear Spackman--They screwed up the Monet blue on the paperback cover. I want you to have this hardbound with the proper blue! / L C P" Cloth-backed boards. Blue pictoral dust jacket. Octavo. Afterword by Henry Miller. Powell's first novel,written in 1941, rewritten, and finally published when Powell was 70. A Near Fine copy (bumped corner] in a Very Good or better dust jacket (some edgewear) now in a clear mylar protective jacket. A nice literary association copy.
