Blue cloth hardcover with top edge gilt and bright and clear gilt embossed lettering to front cover and an illustration in shades of blue and gray, without dust jacket, fourth printing of this First Edition in year of publication, 442 pages, plus illustrations;---publisher's complimentary copy with a very rare handwritten inscription "With best wishes of C. M. Clark Pub. Co. Dec. 25 - 1902" on free front endpaper; I have seen many complimentary and review copies with the appropriate printed slip laid in, but never a handwritten one;---light shelf wear to cover edges, corners and spine ends, dent in spine but very gently used, tight in binding, inscription as described, otherwise very clean and unmarked, pages slightly age toned as usual, but no foxing. . Hard Cover. Very Good -.
