About This Item

London: Faber & Faber, 1993. 34pp2 bw ills. Or card covers. Some foxing to first and last few pages. Dialogue from a film by poet Tony Harrison which was filmed on location in the Alzheimer's ward of High Royds Hospital. The things which seem to linger longest in the impaired memories of those affected by Alzheimer's are banal tunes and a sense of dance and rhythm. Harrison has recreate something of these lost personalities by using such tunes and verbal rhythms. This is the seventh film Harrison has made in collaboration with director Peter Symes for the BBC.. First UK Edition. Paperback. Very Good. 8vo.
