Xvi, 339, p. [340] blank. Followed by [1]- 40 pp. publisher catalog. Illustrations by Bryan Hook, A.D. McCormick and from photographs from Nature by R. B. Lodge. Frontispiece with tissue guard. With 17 plates (including frontis.,) and 15 in text illustrations. Black endpapers, fep loose with a large chip from the fore-edge Ends rubbed. An exceptionally nice copy. S William Henry Hudson (1841 - 1922) was an author, naturalist, and ornithologist and a founding member of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds.; 8vo .
