About This Item
Boston: the magazine, 1940. Magazine. Single twelve-line poem at p.364, the entire magazine complete: red wraps with overlapping edges, these edges very worn with numerous little tears. Textblock itself is sound, clean and unmarked. Bird of Glass a metaphor to conjure up The Imagination and for it to "forever be your lover." The line-up for this issue is full of once well-known names, the still-remembered including Lewis Mumford, William Shirer and Wallace Stegner. Shirer's reportage from Berlin is featured.
