First Edition. 185pp - Illustrated - Letter with financial statement laid loose as well as 2 foldout photographs of Camp Meigs There are two reasons for this volume - One, that the work of a new and somewhat unique project in the Quartermaster Corps of the Army might not pass unrecorded and, secondly, that the patriotism of a group of rather mature men gathered at Washington from 38 states might have a little more notice than merely that which might be gained from their formal records in the archives of the War Dept.Corners very lightly bumped, back cover has spotting o/w very good condition.

Comrades with corrected addresses, financial statement on costs (apparently 450 copies were printed), etc. also inserted; ownership hand stamp and book plate of a Masonic library, still a very good copy in original green cloth; a large portion of text devoted to a short service record and notes on present occupation and address (when known) for each participant. - If you are reading this, this item is actually (physically) in our stock and ready for shipment once ordered.
