Salem, MA: Cushing and Appleton, 1809. Octavo. 511 pages, errata (p. 512). From the Adams family to Yale Elihu. The family of Rev. Joseph Buckminster (page 88-89) is noted in the book and also written on the front pastedown the following biographical information: Great Grandfather Buckminster, Col. 1876, Essex Co,....Richard Buckminster, Limerick, NY; Drafted in War of 1812; John Buckminster (grandfather), went in Richard's place; James G.(?) Buckminster born at Limerick 1840. Memoirs of Rev. Joseph Buckminster, D.D. and of his son, Rev. Joseph Stevens Buckminster. Bound in full contemporary calf, spine ruled in gilt, red morocco spine label gilt, a bit of toning or scattered foxing, damp staining to end sheets and (oddly) to the outer margins of pages 209-219, lacks only one front blank. A very good copy.
