Publisher's blue cloth lettered in red to upper board and spine, red pictorial motif to upper, illustrative dust-jacket with printed price of 6/- to front flap. Illustrative frontispiece and seven other coloured illustrated plates throughout. Toning to edges of textblock, sunning to spine, wearing to edges of dust-jacket and scuffing to white back of jacket, small green marking from bleeding of ink on dust-jacket. Very good. William Earl Johns was an English First World War pilot and writer of adventure stories, and this story's protagonist is the well-loved air adventurer Biggles.
