London: Oxford University Press, 1941. First Edition. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. (London: Oxford University Press 1941). First UK Edition in First Issue D/W. Note: This is the "true" first "thick" edition in the correct first issue D/W with "found" as the last word on the first line of the front flap and NOT the second line. The 13 Johns titles to the back panel are in BLUE font (Biggles in the Baltic through to Spitfire Parade) with an aerodrome above and fish below. Publisher's orange boards with brown lettering and decorations to the front board and spine. A bright and attractive VG+ copy (slight softening to the spine tips and foxing to the page block edges and the early/late pages of the book). The D/W shows as in effect a nice VG+ example with discrete archival repairs by a skilled paper conservationist to small chips from the head and tail of the spine (not affecting any lettering).
