Cambridge, Massachusetts: Harvard University, 1950. Softcover. Very Good. First editions. Two volumes. Quartos. Approximately [400]ff., paginated variously and mimeographed rectos only. Compiled by George A. Miller (Psychology), Walter A. Rosenblith (General and Foreign), Robert Galambos (Anatomy, Physiology, and Theory), and Ira J. Hirsh (Deafness). Clothbacked card wrappers. Ownership stamp and signature of a noted American psychologist on the cover of both volumes. Wrappers with some wear, toning, and soil, Volume I with a diagonal tear of the somewhat brittle cloth spine, sound and just about very very good. The interior is about fine, save for two corners gently bumped throughout and one leaf with a short tear. A project of Harvard's psycho-acoustic laboratory, contracted by the U.S. Navy, Office of Naval Research. Contains approximately 5,500 entries.
