The text is illustrated with two inserts, of eight pages each, of colour photography. Colour photographic covers with white and black titles to the front panel and backstrip. The book has French flaps. Creasing to the book corners and rubbing to the book panels. This is the story of the author, who on a trip in a remote part of Utah, had a accident where he is right hand and wrist were pinned by a heavy boulder. Four days later, after surviving on very little water and food, he amputated his right arm. This is the story of before, during and more importantly after this event. Second Edition.
