Lady Mary Wortley Montagu found fame in her letters, particuarly those written abroad. Her writings on Turkey and the Orient are especially well regarded. Recently, Wortley Montagu has gained attention for her attitude towards women's rights in the early eighteenth century, becoming an early feminist figure. Edited with a dedicatory letter to Lady Montagu.
